Hi friends! Welcome back to the blog, and to the very first mambi design team BLOG HOP! Myself and the other fabulous ladies on the mambi DT have put together this awesome blog hop to showcase some of our favorite aspects of the 10 new 2016-2017 Happy Planners™ releasing soon. If you are new here, thank you for visiting! I’d love it if you subscribed to my blog.

If you know me, you know that I love florals, so naturally I felt a pretty serious inclination towards the new Peony Happy Planner™. It’s the perfect mixture between soft and delicate with the touches of floral, but the interior is still bright and fun in the traditional mambi style!

Pretty floral details on the yearly calendar and fun colors in the weekly layout!

One of my favorite features are the beautiful monthly dividers.
The quotes are always inspiring, and yes, that IS gold foil!

Even though the planner doesn’t begin until July, I am already moved in! I popped in my favorite sticky notes and picked out some of my most loved mambi washi. July can’t come soon enough! These new planners will be available in the mambi shop on March 1st, so be sure to mark your calendars. The other accessories shown are already available 😉

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this little sneak peak the at the Peony Happy Planner™. Head on over to fellow fab team member Theresa over on her blog to see which Happy Planner™ she is sharing. Be sure to come back and let me know what Happy Planner™ you’ve got your eyes on!

Until next time,

Another planner?! I know, I know. I feel it just as much as you do. But how could I really resist?
When I saw @thedaydesigner’s post on Instagram debuting their brand new A5 ringbound planners, it took every ounce of resistance in me to keep me from going ahead and purchasing an addition for my collection. Also, I have been doing really (mostly) well on my #nospendjanuary challenge, and buying another planner breaks the cardinal rule of a #nospend! However, when some extended family gifted me a late holiday gift card, I hardly let it sit in my wallet for an hour before busting it open and ordering my very first Day Designer.

Behold–the newest addition to my collection: the A5 Ringbound Day Designer in Black Spotty!

The new Day Designer ringbound planners are made of a beautiful “leatherette” leather, but they did not skimp on the quality! The planner is soft and luxe, and features beautiful gold and white interior with gold rings, tons of pockets, and a pen loop.

The A5 Black Spotty also includes a starter insert pack, which features a variety of typical inserts: monthly views, contact pages, notes, and some simple budgeting pages.

What I am most excited for, however, are the signature Day Designer daily inserts. In place of weekly planning inserts, Day Designer is known for daily planning and makes planners with inserts for a day on one page. I am excited to try out this system! I am one of those people who writes a massive to-do list at the beginning of each day, so I am hoping these inserts will help streamline my daily planning.

The planner also includes some fun stickers and dividers to get you started.

What do you think? Isn’t she gorgeous? Watch below on YouTube to see my very first impressions as I unbox my new Day Designer!

Happy Thanksgiving, friends! I’m writing after a consuming huge, delicious meal with family and friends, and I’m already thinking of Christmas shopping. It makes sense, though–when you’re grateful for someone you want to shower them with gifts, right? This year in particular has brought many wonderful people from the planner community into my life, and I can’t wait to send them some presents to show them how appreciative I am of their friendship.

I made this gift guide especially with the planner girl (or guy!) in mind. These gift ideas are perfect for anyone who has a love for organization, planning, or home decor, but I think they’d make great gifts for everyone on your list! Be sure to follow along with the YouTube video below (subscribe, please!) for more detailed explanations on why I love all of these items. Let me know what you think!

Welcome back to the blog, friends! I apologize for the brief hiatus but over the past week and a half I’ve battled the worst cold and homework assignments for school.

I’m excited to share with you today a blog post about one of my favorite new websites for ordering stationery goodies, They carry a HUGE variety of items your little pen-obsessed heart would just die over.

As the name suggests, the website’s specialty are super adorable (and really cool) pencil cases. When I searched the website I was astounded by the variety and uniqueness of some of these cases! There are pencil cases shaped like book bags, food, cars, purses, etc. These items would be perfect for both younger students and older stationery fanatics for myself, and the best part is the beautiful quality and functionality of all their items.

I chose this sweet pink alpaca pencil case for myself. I’m not usually a big alpaca/llama fan, but these…I just couldn’t pass up those sweet lil’ faces! The case itself is a canvas type of material with a lined interior that can be wiped down. I’m using mine to store my little stamp collection for now.

Seriously! How cute are they?!

Cool Pencil Case also carries a ton of stationery and desk accessories. I’ve seen these makeup stickers on a few different websites at prices a little too high for my sticker budget, but their site sells them for just $3.25! I use these to mark Sephora trips with my bff in my planner.

I also picked up a Rilakkuma Frixion pen and mechanical pencil. Frixion pens are erasable gel pens that write really well. The website sells tons of adorable pens and pencils with characters like Rilakkuma, Hello Kitty, and Little Twin Stars.

I am so pleased with all of my goodies from Cool Pencil Case! If you’re interested in ordering your own adorable items, you’re in luck!
Cool Pencil Case’s biggest sale of the year will be on Thursday, November 26 until Monday, November 30. Just enter code CPCTurkey30 at checkout for 30% off $50 purchase! Let me know if you pick anything up!

Hi friends! Today I’m excited to share with you a review of a new planner I picked up this weekend. If you’re familiar with Christy of @theplannersociety, then you might recognize this PaperSource Planner from her Instagram feed. I was drawn to the lined, vertical layout, as well as the affordable price ($29.95). Over the weekend, PaperSource was also offering a 20% off Friends & Family discount, so I couldn’t pass it up!

This is the “Foil Confetti Planner,” so the front is a glamorous hardcover black with gold foil confetti accents. The planner also features a black coil.

The planner features one monthly section in the front, which houses all of the monthly layouts from August 2015 – December 2016 in one area.

The weekly layout is vertical and lined. The first vertical section is a “Notes” area, which is followed by the calendar week beginning on Sunday. This was confusing for me at first, because I’m used to my weekly planners beginning on Monday. On the right side of the weekly page is a calendar view of the month you’re in, in addition to the next 5 months. There is a gold (but not foiled) pattern on the bottom of all pages.

There are also a few notes pages in the back of the planner, but not many.

For reference, the boxes are wider and shorter than Erin Condren boxes. As you can see, you can still use your full-box sized stickers in your planner by turning them clockwise once. There is still a tiny bit of space that is barely noticeable. Doing so also leaves about one line of space on top of the sticker. I find that the stickers look great, but this method may present some difficulty if you’re hoping to use your full-box checklist or quote stickers.

In this layout, I used decorative boxes which still looked appropriate when turned clockwise, as well as checklist stickers. The sizes of the lines match up really well to the size of the hearts (circles, stars, etc) of most checklist stickers.

I will admit that I really enjoy this planner! It’s roomy and there’s so much space for decorating, and the lined layout keeps my handwriting neater. The pages are nice and thick, and the hardcovers and coil are super sturdy. This planner is beautiful, and for the price (especially if you’ve got a coupon!), I recommend it.

What do you think? Do you have this planner? If not, are you interested in trying? Let me know your ideas in the comments below, and check out my Instagram for more pictures of how I set up this planner throughout the weeks!

This past weekend I attended my first official planner meet-up! I was invited by Monet (@prettypinkplanner) to attend and speak at her Ultimate Planner Party in NYC. If you’re a NY or NJ planner girl, I suggest you join our Facebook page! Monet is an awesome admin and organizes these great events.

About 40 ladies and I enjoyed DIY’s, planner chats, and fabulous giveaways. In addition to all that fun, Monet invited me to facilitate a brief discussion about how I take my planners from “Drab to Fab.” You can clearly see how much I enjoyed gushing about all of my favorite pretties for decorating my planner!

I also had a little table where I displayed some of my planners and sold some handmade planner tassels!

It was SO nice meeting up with some of my favorite planner people from Instagram.
Naturally, some #selfie sessions had to happen.

At the end of the party we took a group picture and a mandatory planner stack picture! It was amazing meeting so many like-minded, creative ladies. While setting up the planner stack, Monet made an interesting observation–“Why are there 40 of us, but nearly a hundred planners?!” I think that sums us up pretty well!

This seriously was the Ultimate Planner Party, and I can’t wait for the next one!

happy halloween! halloween layout | ECLP

Happy Halloween, everyone! I only joined the planner community earlier this year, so this is my first official Halloween layout in my planner. I’ve actually never been a huge fan of Halloween (I’m a huge scaredy cat), so I didn’t go out of my way to collect items to decorate this layout. However, by the time I sat down to plan, I realized that I had amassed quite a collection of black, purple, and orange decorations. Whoops!
At least they went to good use 😉

The majority of my full box stickers, headers, checklists, and my hydration tracker were from Karolina’s Krafts. Karolina makes great themed sets that make decorating super simple!

I also used quotes and a haunted house sticker from me & my BIG ideas along my sidebar for some more decoration.

I think my favorite touch were these pumpkin dates that I made using stickers from TheHappyDoodle!

No layout is complete without tons of accessories! I was surprised by how many Halloween clippies I’ve collected in just a few weeks.
Hello Kitty (matches my costume this year!), sparkly black K, and sparkly pumpkin are from StickEWicketDesigns, skeleton bear and wicked witch are from LovelyLittlePlanners, and Frankenstein cupcake is from SouthernMessDesigns. Feltie pumpkin was a gift from a friend, purple unicorn tassel is from my own Etsy shop, and the beautiful sparkly pens are the one and only PenGems.

Wishing you all a safe and candy-filled Halloween this year!

Welcome to my blog!

Hi everyone! I’m so excited to welcome you to my new blog. My name is Kiara, and you may know me from Instagram as @paperprincess, my Etsy shop, or my YouTube channel. I hope you all enjoy this blog and bear with me as I iron out all the kinks and get into the flow of blogging. This is my first time! I look forward to interacting with you all and am open to any feedback (although I prefer the constructive type ;)). Are you excited?! I’m excited! Can’t wait to chat more with you all soon.
